Stiniva is a spectacular, cliff-enclosed pebble cove on Vis Island, famed for its narrow rock-framed entrance and crystal-clear water. It's reached either by a steep, challenging 15–30 minute goat path or by boat (with a swim or dinghy to shore, as motor vehicles can't land). A small bar/tavern, toilet and rentable sunbeds serve the beach, but it draws heavy midday boat crowds despite the effort to reach it.

Best time:
Early morning (around 7:30–9am) before the tour boats arrive, or outside peak season; note the cliffs cast shade from about 2pm.
Who it's for:
Adventurous swimmers and snorkelers happy to tackle a steep hike for one of Croatia's most stunning coves.
