Bol, Split-Dalmatia

Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) in Bol is Croatia's iconic shape-shifting pebble cape, backed by a shady pine grove and lapped by strikingly clear water. It's very well organized with bars, food trucks, water sports and rentable sunbeds, but it's also a major tourist magnet that gets packed and pricey in high season. Naturally beautiful and easily reached on foot, bike or water taxi from Bol harbour.
